Melina Henderson
Script Development and Production
Melina is an award-winning writer/director based in Enfield . In 2002 she received the inaugural Enfield Filmmakers Award for Rose's Last Train, which she wrote, directed and co-produced. The film has screened at international film festivals in South Korea , Barcelona , Miami , London and Manchester . Melina worked again with the Enfield Film Fund in 2004, directing Through Our Eyes, a micro-budget documentary about Angolan asylum seekers in the Borough. She was nominated for the 2003 Film London Writers Development Programme for which she is developing a feature film based on the life of Britain 's first female Olympic swimmer.
Melina has written many scripts including Cheap TV (sketch comedy series, Aus 2001), Love Lisa, short-listed 2003 Film London Pulse Awards and Daughters of Neptune (feature, 2000). She is currently developing a slate of documentaries, including Facing the Enemy , examining Enfield Youth Offending Teams' restorative justice programme.
